Lip Plumping glosses! I am HOOKED!!!

Submitted by LaylaBeth on Thu, 2006-01-26 16:52.

I have made it known, to any and all who will listen, that as soon as I get my tax return back, I am getting BoTox between my eyes, and/or Collagen (injections) in my lips.

I am in NO hurry to "age gracefully," and although my "wrinkles" are few, if any, I certainly DON'T want any!!!

And, besides...didn't my lips used to look fuller???

WELL, I CANNOT have THIS! I want fuller lips, and I don't want to wait for the government to give me MY money back to do something about it!
SO...I went on the hunt for lip-volumizing products...

While waiting for my "Hydroderm" order to arrive, I settled on the uber-smooth, Rimmel lip-plumping gloss, in "Bossy."
The label claims it makes a "tingling" sensation...

Actually, it is MORE of a cooling sensation, but the stuff is LITERALLY as shiny as glass!
AND...it LASTS!
I have not reapplied ONCE since 11:AM, and now, with evening almost upon me, it still looks shiny and smooth!
Given, the "plumping" action has worn off, but my lips still look great!

So...I will give the ordered "Hydroderm" a try, and maybe a few others, before I actually take the plunge and inject collagen into my lips.
But as far as the BoTox is concerned...
...I'm pretty sure that's still a GO!!!

Hi Layla Beth, Susan here

I published an article called "Botox: the Wrinkle Free Facts" I was inspired to research it and write it because of you - thanks.  I'm in process on collagen injections and I'm really interested to hear about your Hydroderm experience.  I've read up a little on hydroderm and it seems to be surprisingly effective and a good value (compared to several collagen injections per year).  Any way keep us all updated - Susan

Glad to know I've "inspired" something!!! :-)  I am planning to get a "little Bo" after my taxes come back, so I'm sure I'll be contacting you and/or commenting a LOT within the next few months.

As far as the Hydroderm--it's pretty good, thus far.  I'm going to keep it coming, on a monthly basis.  One thing--you pretty much cannot wear it alone--it's too "dry" feeling.  But with a gloss, it's nice!

Thanks for commenting!!! ~L~ xo

So by "plumping" what do you mean? Did they actually look fuller? Did you try kissing with them? Any difference?

Fuller, you know...more voluptuous!  Kissing with them...will have to try!!! :)  Thanks, RW!!! ;-)

~Layla, you know--like the SONG!~

I see. So is it uncomfortable at all? I guess not if you are hooked. But is it a feeling you have to get used to, or do your lips just feel the same?

What's uncomfortable is those "long wearing" lipsticks--the ones that feel like paint.  Too "crusty" feeling!  :)  ~L~ xo
