Hello Everyone, I am back. With flowers blossoming and all, I thought I would write about colors for spring.     Now, I know the makeup trend has been for a soft natural look. And I think this is appropriate for spring, but now let us experiment with new shades. Go for glimmery colors, like copper and gold. A sparkly rose will really make your eyes pop. Shimmery rich colors like emerald, purple, deep blue along with a good masacara can make for a very dramatic, yet delicate look. All you have to do is apply these bold colors lightly and blend well.

Hydroderm lip serum IS a good buy.  Yes, it works--but, sadly (as known) the positive effects are only temporary.  Maybe even a little TOO temporary!  But nevertheless, Hydroderm DOES serve as a temporary way to "plump" your lips!

I am curious as to what people have experienced in the way of eyelash extensions or lashes in general. I work in Los Angeles in the eyelash business and am looking for favorites, least favorites, recommendations on lash professionals in your area of the world, etc.

My favorite make up is Bare Escentuals id mineral makeup. It's very pure and works well on my slightly oily, still acne-prone (even though I'm 33 years old!) skin. I use the bare minerals spf 15 makeup, mineral veil, glee, warmth and clear radiance. Not necessarily all at the same time, mind you. My typical morning routine consists of the bare minerals spf 15 foundation, mineral veil and glee. On mornings when I want to look more "tropical" I use the warmth, and for special occasions I use the clear radiance across my cheekbones, as a highlighter. I also like the Patience eye shadow, which I think makes my hazel eyes look greener.

I have made it known, to any and all who will listen, that as soon as I get my tax return back, I am getting BoTox between my eyes, and/or Collagen (injections) in my lips.

I am in NO hurry to "age gracefully," and although my "wrinkles" are few, if any, I certainly DON'T want any!!!

And, besides...didn't my lips used to look fuller???

WELL, I CANNOT have THIS! I want fuller lips, and I don't want to wait for the government to give me MY money back to do something about it!
SO...I went on the hunt for lip-volumizing products...

While waiting for my "Hydroderm" order to arrive, I settled on the uber-smooth, Rimmel lip-plumping gloss, in "Bossy."

Is there such a thing as beauty when you're sick? I have had a cold/flu for the past couple of days and during that time I have been avoiding mirrors like the plague. I look tired, disheveled, my nose is red, I even think my face looks bloated. It's not bad enough that my sinuses are so congested that I can't breathe properly, I also can't stand to look at myself.

The weird thing is that when you're sick you really can't be bothered to worry too much about how your hair looks or if your face is washed. And makeup? Ha. Not even in the realm of possibility. I don't like the fact that I look bad, but I don't care enough to do anything about it. It would take too much energy. It's a good thing I don't have to leave the house.

I know it has been a while, but I must confess: I have had a case of the "Winter Blues." Here in North America, it is cold in most places; there is cloud cover virtually everyday. It makes it very difficult to have the gusto needed to get through ones daily routines. I have come up with a couple of things that have helped me some and perhaps they can help you too.

Try aromatherapy. I don't mean simply getting special oils to burn or candles. I'm talking about going out and getting a great fragrance that reminds you of Spring and Summer; fun and frolick. Escada has some great fragances that are tropical and fruity. I think any white floral or oriental/woody fragrance is a great pick me up. The same can be said for the lotion as well. I nice perfumed lotion with a little bit of sparkle can lift anyones spirits.

Ah, Madge.  The Material Mom.  Pop-songtress, Kabbalah enthusiast.

Love her or hate her, the woman in a STYLE chameleon!

In the '80's, when she sported ratty hair, black lace gloves, red-lipstick and rubber bracelets, multitudes of young ladies followed suit.  (I am guilty!)

In the '90's when she glammed up (or down?) a bit and appeared to be a cross between a "club-kid" and a Dominatrix, many more, again, followed suit.  (Club-kid, maybe--but I don't think I ever looked like a Dominatrix!)

She sets the stage...and we follow.
