Cardiac CT Imaging/Non-Invasive Coronary AngiogramUsing computed tomography and advanced computer software, Los Angeles Cardiology services provider Apex Cardiology can now obtain a non-invasive image of the beating heart. This allows you to obtain detailed information about the structure of a patient's heart and coronary arteries, which until recently, was only available by an invasive coronary angiogram. The extent of arterial calcification can also be determined using this procedure and is an important early indicator of the presence of coronary artery disease. These discoveries may lead to earlier treatment that will prevent a heart attack or possible death. So instead of considering a angiogram los angeles patients can now go for cardiac CT imaging.

I finally found a natural solution to dry, flaky skin and eczema! For years I have been plagued with patches of eczema and overly dry skin all over my body. Trying to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water is somewhat effective in easing the dry skin, but the eczema is persistent and can sometimes be painful.

Another week without sugar and I have to say, it is getting a bit easier. I still have the occasional dream about being surrounded by a room full of candy bars and cakes and just stuffing my face till my cheeks puff out. But for the most part, I am starting to adjust to a world without sugar. I am now able to eat fruit moderately and I have been walking by the candy aisle at work without so much as a twinge of painful desire. In fact, the other day I was stocking an endcap right at the end of the candy aisle and I didn't even realize that I was 2 feet away from all that sugar the entire hour I was there. It wasn't until I was finishing up and heading towards the back room that I noticed what aisle I had been working near.

I have been going out of my mind for the past 9 days. That's when I started on this "no sugar diet". My girlfriend said I was addicted to sugar and that I should try to "cleanse" for a month. So I've been trying it out, no sugar. The plan is that for the first week, I stay away from most sugars, including all refined sugars and fruit sugars, then I can have fresh fruit, but no other form of sugars for the rest of the month. The idea is that I will crave sugar less when I am through with the cleanse.

At first I thought it would be easy. I didn't think I had that much of a problem. But now, over a week into it, I am in hell. I work in a grocery store, so temptation is all around me. Luckily, I stock produce, so I don't have to touch anything that is banned from my diet. But it's impossible to avoid smelling stuff from the bakery, passing by the cookie aisle, walking through the check out lanes full of candy and on and on.

Yesterday, I went to yoga again after about a six month hiatus. Don't ask me what took me so long to get back into it, because I could give you a whole pack of excuses. The main point is that I couldn't keep up! I kept finding myself needing to hang out in devotional pose while the rest of the class continued on. Those long chair poses, really kill me! Everytime a yoga teacher asks me to do "chair pose preparation" I want to just lay down on my mat.

Don't get me wrong, I love yoga. Every time I go to a class, no matter how resistant I am to getting there, I am always glad I came. Even when it's really challenging, I'm happy to be there. Actually, I didn't intend to complain so much in this posting about yoga (it's just the soreness in my muscles talking). I meant to write this to inspire others to try yoga. (or maybe I'm just trying to convince the rest of the world that yoga is vital to life so that I can encourage myself to go more regularly.)
